Thread & Transform - Upcycle Sewing

This class is designed for individuals with basic sewing knowledge who want to take their skills to the next level. Students will explore creative ways to give garments and textiles a second life.

Students will learn essential repair techniques, from simple mending to highly creative transformations. The course also covers textile science, fabric dyeing methods, and strategies for working with difficult materials. Whether patching up a favorite pair of jeans, repurposing an old dress, or experimenting with fabric art, this class offers hands-on opportunities to enhance both technical skills and artistic expression.

Additionally, this class is a great space to revisit long-forgotten sewing projects with the guidance of a professional. Whether you need help troubleshooting a tricky alteration or simply want the motivation to finish an unfinished piece, this supportive environment will help you bring your projects to life.
