Setting the Scene

You have your characters down. You know exactly what's going to happen in this scene. You've planned out how it'll impact the overall plot. You've got it all figured out!

And then you, or your beta reader, or the cat sitting on your shoulder, reads your draft and asks, "But where is this happening?"

If you've found that your characters are interacting in a void and you're struggling to figure out how to describe where the scene is taking place, this is the class for you!

In this class, Abigail Raeke will break down what a scene really is (and isn't), why scene matters, and how to make yours do the heavy lifting. You'll learn how to craft moments that sizzle with purpose instead of fizzle into confusion -- and you might even laugh along the way.
