About the Headliners - Amy LaVere & Will Sexton
Memphis based artists and troubadours, Amy LaVere and Will Sexton have been music collaborators and touring companions for 11 years now. The quality of their craft, the miles traveled and their original catalog is ever growing. LaVere’s storytelling and songwriting is barbed and sharp, a delightful contrast to her sweet soprano vocals and smooth upright bass playing. The dark and charming writer has released seven solo recordings and has collaborated on recordings with many other artists across the Americana landscape. Notable collaborations include works with Luther Dickinson, Valerie June, Sharde Thomas, Amy Helm, Sea Sick Steve, Todd Snider and Johnny Dowd. Her next release will be a live record, slated for creation on September 13th 2025 at The Crosstown Concourse in Memphis, TN.
In addition to her solo records and a tireless touring schedule, Amy enjoys working with other artists. She joined an all-star collaboration called The Wandering, composed of Amy, Luther Dickinson,Valerie June, Shannon McNally and Sharde Thomas They released Go On Now, You Can’t Stay Here (2012) to critical acclaim and sold-out shows.
Amy and Luther also collaborated on Sisters Of The Strawberry Moon (2019). This project featured Allison Russell, Amy Helm, The Como Mammas, Sharde Thomas and Lily May Risch.
Over the past three decades, Will Sexton has grown into a skilled musical polymath: an esteemed writer, producer, session player and artist with a string of acclaimed LPs to his credit. He is currently working on a future solo release with Fat Possum producer Bruce Watson. Sexton’s seasoned guitar playing and velvet vocals are a superb fit to LaVere’s distinctive talent. Together, their spellbinding show is incomparable.
