GRAB, Grantham’s exciting big band sound, is back at the Guildhall Arts Centre in a special concert raising funds for mental health charity, CALM, in partnership with Evelyn’s Butterfly Effect.
Evelyn’s Butterfly Effect is a community initiative encouraging random acts of kindness, connection and social change around mental health. It was created in memory of Evelyn Gibson, who tragically took her own life in 2022, aged just 15, and honours her legacy of spreading kindness.
Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is a leading UK charity dedicated to preventing suicide. Their mission is to support anyone facing a crisis, offering life-saving services, practical advice, and vital information. CALM also empowers friends, families, and communities to support those who may be struggling, helping to end misery - not lives.
Expect another energetic and fun show, full of GRAB’s usual mix of storming tunes from timeless big band classics to more recent chart hits, all in the unique GRAB big band style. The band’s vocalists, Craig Martini and Becca Faye, will delight you with songs from Michael Bublé to Freddy Mercury, Ella Fitzgerald to Paloma Faith. Put that together with the amazing big band sound of a 24-piece ensemble and the theatre will be jumping!
GRAB will donate the proceeds of this event to CALM, in memory of Evelyn. Please help us raise a significant sum and book early!
