September 17, 2025 | 11 AM – 4:30 PM CDT
@ The YES! House | 726 Prentice St, Granite Falls, MN

Join DoPT and The YES! House on Wednesday, September 17th for a full day of connection, creativity, and community as we host a local watch party and live gathering for Rural Assembly Everywhere in Granite Falls!

Rural Assembly Everywhere is the annual virtual gathering of the Rural Assembly, a program of the Center for Rural Strategies. Everywhere brings together people from across the country who care deeply about their rural places, neighbors, and community issues. Together, we’ll reflect on what it means to live, work, and dream in rural places; from storytelling and intergenerational knowledge-sharing to building community spaces and crafting futures rooted in abundance.

The Day’s Recipe:
– 11 AM - Gather + Lunch from Falls Cafe (lunch included with registration!)
– 12 PM - Rural Assembly Everywhere Watch Party (live-streamed event)
– 1:45 PM - Reflection Activity: A Bigger Pie (with pie served from Java River)
– 2:15 PM - Panel Discussion - From Seed to Steward: Shaping Abundant Rural Futures with Audrey Arner (Moonstone Farm), Teresa Peterson (author and educator), and Teresa Kittridge (100 Rural Women); Moderated by Robin Moore (Land Stewardship Project)
– 3:00 PM - Happy Hour + Live Music with Betsy Pardick at Bluenose Gopher Public House
– 3:30 PM - Beyond the Clock LIVE: Telling Our Own Stories; a conversation with Jessica Stölen (Upper Minnesota River Valley journalist and artist) and Claire Carlson (the Daily Yonder), hosted by Ash Hanson (DoPT) and Anna Claussen (Voices for Rural Resilience)

This event and Rural Assembly Everywhere are free to attend, and registration is required. The in-person event at The YES! House will be limited to 40 attendees; come for a portion of the day or stay for the full in-person event at The YES! House in Granite Falls, MN on September 17th from 11 AM – 4:30 PM CST.
