Blue River Road Public Engagement

"This will give the community a chance to give feedback on what they want to see done with the closed road or what changes they think would be beneficial. It will also give Kansas City staff an opportunity to explain factors like costs and next steps."

BLUE RIVER ROAD HAS BEEN LEFT UNATTENDED FOR MORE THAN 15 EYARS! THE COMMUNITY NEEDS TO SHOW UP AND DEMAND ANSWERS. THIS WAS SUPPOSE TO BE REPAIRED WITH THE $800 MILLION GO BONDS THAT WERE APPROVED IN 2017. YEAR AFTER YEAR, EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE. BLUE RIVER ROAD IS NEARLY 100 YEARS OLD AND IS ONE OF A KIND. THE CITY IS GOING TO SHOW UP AND TELL YOU HOW IT CAN'T BE DONE. IN 2023 I HEARD $20-40 MILLION, I'M SURE WE ARE GOING TO HEAR $100 MILLION. AND WE WILL BE TOLD THAT THERE'S NO MORE INFRASTRUCTURE DOLLARS. PUBLIC WORKS HAS IGNORED SOUTH KANSAS CITY FOR TOO LONG.
