WGVU’s KidsDay at the Zoo, presented by PNC is back on Thursday, August 7th, 2025! Join WGVU Public Media, John Ball Zoo, and our supporting partners for a fantastic day at the Zoo! KidsDay provides fun, adventure, interactive activities and entertainment for kids, families, and friends. Zoo admission is reduced to a special price of $5 per person on KidsDay!
Meet characters from your favorite PBS Kids shows, like Carl the Collector, Daniel Tiger and Clifford, sponsored by Milk Means More and Pioneer Construction… and check out the green space outside the Zoo for additional fun!
Enjoy live musical entertainment throughout the day from Wimee & Friends and BenJammin’, sponsored by Network 180!
Also included with admission is the Zoo's brand-new interactive exhibit "The Power of Pollinators | Tiny Creatures That Make BIG Things Happen", featuring over 20 larger than life animatronic pollinators.
Get Creative during KidsDay at the Zoo! Get in touch with your inner artist in the Creative Cube, an interactive, accessible mobile art studio that will be open from 9am - 12pm during KidsDay! The Creative Cube is a fully accessible mobile art studio that brings art activities into the Grand Rapids community and beyond! In 2019, Artists Creating Together launched the Creative Cube to carry out their mission to empower people with disabilities to learn, grow and celebrate through the arts.
