Open Rope GR's monthly Rope Jam and Roundtable includes a one-hour conversation on a different topic each month, followed by an Open Rope Jam where all attendees are welcome to observe, socialize, tie, or skillshare. The ORGR roundtable is a facilitated discussion for new and experienced kinksters alike to share information, advice, and experiences about each month's topic. While all are welcome to just listen in, we invite all attendees to join in on the discussion. ORGR provides floor and chair seating, but feel free to bring your own blankets, bolsters, yoga mats, etc.!
In May, the community is discussing ethical non-monogamy (ENM) & polyamorous relationship structures as well as what they can look like in kink spaces. Non-traditional relationship structures are not mainstream yet but are on the rise. This event offers a welcoming space to share, learn, and connect your curiosity, with folks new to ENM, with folks well versed in ENM, and folks seeking to understand how others’ relationships work and function.
Our conversation is being facilitated by Jubi (she/her) and L (she/her), both are looking forward to sharing their lived experience in separate ENM practices. All attendees are welcome to bring their lived experiences and discussion points to the roundtable. As these monthly gatherings are where we come together as a community to share information and experience one another’s perspectives.
We’ll dive into topics such as communication, hierarchy, consent, relationship negotiation, navigating jealousy, community dynamics, and the misconceptions surrounding non-monogamous relationships. This is a judgment-free zone where all identities and orientations are respected.
