River Blend Chorus is a new Mixed Harmony chorus in Western Michigan and the surrounding areas seeking to create a culture of musical excellence and radical inclusion.
The ensemble will excel at multiple genres of music, including barbershop, jazz, choral, musical theater, and more.
Rehearsals will be every other Thursday (biweekly) at Orchard View Church of God in Grand Rapids, with the goal of fostering fun and camaraderie while also promoting musical growth and excellence. Our focus will be on close harmony and healthy, genuine singing for everyone, regardless of race, creed, age, social class, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
For our first Kickoff, we will do some fun warmups, work some vocal craft, be able to sing through several songs (included in our kickoff packet below), and also be treated to several performances by area groups.
