Keep Circus Safe: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Circus

Come learn and let's show up for our community together!
Geared toward instructors and staff in circus and movement, but all are welcome to attend and participate.

We are not just circus studios, we are communities coming together every week. When people come into your space, they bring everything with them, whether they want to or not. So how can we provide an environment in which everyone can feel safe and welcome, no matter what is happening in the background?

Come learn some tools to use in your practice from our very own trauma-informed team! Jamie, Mikayla, and Haley are excited to use their expertise in order to share their knowledge with our circus community on how to show up in the best ways possible for others. You'll learn what trauma-informed means, how it can look from person to person, and how exactly that weaves into the circus world. This workshop does NOT give you credentials to be a licensed therapist, but it will give you a different insight into the people we encounter on a daily basis.
