Hunter VanKlompenberg is a songwriter and music producer with roots in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Nashville, Tennessee. His music pulls together indie rock, alt-electronic, and jazz influences to create texturally-unique emotion-driven songs. Hunter draws influences from modern artists such as Bon Iver, Fiona Apple, Glass Animals, and Tame Impala, as well as older references such as Louis Prima and Astrud Gilberto. Hunter VanKlompenberg’s original songs feature themes of vulnerability, family, grieving, social relationships, and personal discovery through a self-reflective and, at times, satirical lens. His music has been featured on radio stations such as Nashville’s Lightning 100 and Grand Rapids’ Local Spins radio.
Hunter is currently working on an album titled "Gut Punch".
