Divine Service: Saint Bartholomew, Apostle

Messiah continues our summer schedule with Divine Services on Sunday, August 24th at 10:00 am (Bible Class will be held beforehand at 9:00 am) and our final Monday summer service on August 25th at 7:00 pm. The Sunday service is scheduled to be livestreamed at www.youtube.com/messiahgr, our website and our Facebook page.

Bartholomew, also known as Nathanael, was a disciple of Jesus. Jesus identified him as the one “in whom there is no deceit.” In turn, Bartholomew confessed Jesus to be Rabbi, Son of God & King of Israel! In all of his ways, Bartholomew acknowledged God in Christ. Upon him Jesus heaped all kinds of promises — healing, refreshment & the promise that he would be an eyewitness to the “angels of God ascending & descending on the Son of Man.” (Psalm 89:1, 5, 15–16, 119:46;Proverbs 3:1-8; 2 Corinthians 4:7-10; John 1:43-51)
