Welcome to another installment of CHVRCH. In the spirit of Pride Month we are bringing you the gayest theme this side of goth. Or the gothest theme this side of gay, depending on the direction you're looking from.
Since their inception, goth nights have been a safe space for all walks of misfits including gay men, lesbians, trans folks, and other every other flavor of queer under the dark rainbow; and they remain a safe haven to this day. If you find a goth space that isn't queer inclusive, you didn't find a goth space, you found a bunch of bigots in black.
CHVRCH is the former. Being queer founded and queer run, we strive to always make an inclusive space for anyone and everyone who gathers for music, community, and of course, the bomb ass food at Turnstiles. This June we intend to put it on full display, and in classic CHVRCH irreverence, we are doing it under the banner of priDEMONth.
Now is the time to be loud in spite of oppression. Join us as we congregate under a technicolored flag that represents us, queer and ally alike.
💀Performances💀
We are so excited to announce that Monster Drag Events will be collaborating with us for the performances at this event!
If you're unfamiliar, Monster Drag Events hosts and produces drag shows statewide including events like MX Daemon. Their shows feature some of the most horrific and artistic drag performances in the Midwest and they're going to be bringing that glamorously grotesque energy to our stage in June.
As the event gets closer we will introduce the performers and tell you a little bit about each of them.

🦇Suggested Attire🦇
Think of a gay club in Hell. That's what we want to see. Let your brightest and darkest wardrobes clash in a grim and glamourous, ghoulish and gaudy, sequin studded display of tenebrius technicolor.
🎶Remember, CHVRCH is a community space that is unified beyond venues, borders, and cultures. No matter who you are or where you come from, you're welcome here as long as you're willing to respect others. We will always look out for each other and strive to make our space as safe as possible. There are plenty of people who feel they don't have the correct attire for a goth night, but we don't judge. Goth is a feeling. If you come with respect and dance with us, you're one of us. Whether you're draped in black, relaxing in jeans and a hoodie, decked out in drag, or covered in neon green - you belong here at CHVRCH.
