John Lew Benefit

Sunday June 22, we will be hosting a benefit in honor of John Lew who has been a staple for almost the entire time the Village Inn has existed. John has been diagnosed with cancer and will need extensive treatment and he will no longer be able to work.

Without hesitation we as an entire family between The Village Inn and Bridgeview Tavern knew we wanted to support John in his fight against this horrible disease the way we know best and that’s to throw a party in his honor!

Through 30 plus years John has helped feed this community, as he has always been a dedicated member of our team. If you don’t know him personally let me tell you what an amazing man he is, he is a Father, Grandfather, best friend and a brother ; who grew up here on the island. He loves music and has played guitar for many years. Personally he is one of my favorite people; working along side him for so many years he is more like family than anything. He is so kind and considerate and there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for anyone. He is now in the fight for his life and it’s time that we all give back to him. Working in this industry doesn’t provide retirement or benefits and he needs our help. We will be selling tickets in advance and at the door. There will be food, music, 50/50, and a basket raffle. If you can donate a basket we would really appreciate it! And if you are an area business and can help with any donations we would love that too! One thing about being an islander is when a person is in need we band together like no other! Let’s wrap our arms around John and make this event a success so that we can help alleviate any financial burdens the future holds! I myself and everyone who loves him appreciate any support you can give…
