Step into the shadows for an evening of haunting tales and eerie discussions at our Spooky BOOk Club!

We’ll gather at The Bookman on October 9 to dive into It Came From the Closet: Queer Reflections on Horror.

This ghoulishly good book is a collection of 25 essays by queer and trans writers exploring how horror films—from Halloween to Hereditary—reflect, challenge, and resonate with lived experiences. Through both empowering and troubling lenses, the book examines how horror’s tropes and themes mirror the complexities of queerness, offering space for subversive interpretation and personal connection.
Dip into a few essays or devour the whole book—all are welcome!
