Set in the East Village of New York City during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, RENT, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Jonathan Larson musical turned film, follows a year in the lives of a group of friends, artists, and musicians. Battling poverty, love, loss, and the looming shadow of the AIDS epidemic, the group learns to embrace life and live for the moment in their struggle to survive. With unforgettable music and themes of acceptance, resilience, and community, RENT is a timeless celebration of love and the human spirit.
