Syttende May Lunch Celebration

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - This year the Grand Forks Sons of Norway will celebrate Syttende Mai, the Norwegian Constitution Day, with lunch at the Lodge from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 17th at the Gyda Varden Lodge.

We will offer a lunch platter for a $15 donation (cash or check only) which includes:
1 Smørbrød (open-faced sandwich) choice of smoked salmon, brunost (brown cheese), rolled ham, egg-salad, or shrimp-salad
1 Piece of Lefse
2 Småkaker (Norwegian “small cake” traditional cookie-like treat)
1 Dessert: choice of 1 cup Riskrem with Rødsaus, (rice cream with red sauce) OR 1 piece of Bløtkake, (traditional Syttende Mai cake).

Tickets for our Raffle will be sold at the lunch ($1 per ticket). Drawing will be held on May 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Prizes:
1st Rosepainted plate
2nd Krumkake baker
3rd Heart shaped Scandinavian waffle maker
4th Rosepainted handmade mittens
