Picnic Paddle on Sax Lake

Enjoy a Haw River picnic in the middle of beautiful Saxapahaw Lake! This peaceful reservoir above the Saxapahaw dam is calm and shallow, with sandy islands and moored logs that are perfect for picnics! Your guide will lead you on a brief paddle tour, admiring the Haw's wildlife and natural scenery, before beaching on the newly-formed sandbar islands in the center of the lake. You'll then enjoy a scenic BYO picnic surrounded by the river before heading back to the dock with memories you'll never forget.
