We queers do not back down. We queers do not stay silent. We queers fight for what is right.
Our community has been through many struggles and we have won countless victories. When we stand together we are unstoppable. Now let’s show Gothenburg what it looks like when we unite under one banner: Queers For Palestine.
Love them or hate them, West Pride is the largest platform in the city and one of the largest in Sweden. The eyes of the city and the media are on them. Let’s use this spotlight to show them all what queer is really about: solidarity, resistance, liberation.
Queers For Palestine will be a block in the front of the parade. We are not marching to celebrate, we are marching in unison, in strength and in fury.
We all know that pride and pinkwashing have been woven together. But first pride was a protest. We will not be marching near any commercial or political interests. We are not marching for GU or Volvo or anyone too weak to stand on the right side of history, we are marching in spite of them. We are marching against them. We activists are at the front, they are at the back. So before they have a chance to dance by in their rainbow covered floats, let’s show the tens of thousands of people who come to watch the parade what queers really stand for: justice.
The pro-palestine movement is gathering pace but we need *you* to make it unstoppable. Stand up and do your part, as a queer, as a citizen, as a human. Every. Voice. Counts.
