You'll also get crucial advice in a Q&A session on touring and making money, so you leave with clear next steps for your work.
Just off a two-month Canadian tour and drawing on 20 years of creating and touring her own work, Marysia brings her unique blend of creative and practical wisdom to Gothenburg. For the first 60 minutes, you'll engage in hands-on character and creation exercises designed to ignite your artistic fire. Come with the seed of an idea, a character, or nothing at all, and see what sparks! Inspired by her acclaimed characters like The Singing Psychic and Queen Of The Fcking World*, you'll explore new ideas and build a solid foundation.
Then, in a focused 30-minute Q&A, get the straight answers you need to turn inspiration into action. Marysia will demystify the business side of art, from budgeting and marketing to booking venues and handling contracts. You won't just leave with ideas; you'll leave with a plan and the inspiration to move your work forward.
Marysia is at the Gothenburg Fringe by invitation, following her two award nominations for The Singing Psychic Game Show at the Montreal Fringe in 2024. Having built a strong reputation from three sell-out Edinburgh Fringe shows to a TEDx Talk and a Best Show nomination at the Funny Women Awards, she's a testament to the success you can achieve through 20 years of creating and touring her own work. While in Gothenburg, she will also be performing three fringe shows, including her hit The Singing Psychic Game Show and a short appearance from her character Queen Of The F*cking World.
