“Cora Dale - A Rediscovered Harmony” was directed by Goshen College Film Production majors Silas Immanuel and Isabel Massud Faria De Souza. Made possible with support from Goshen College, FiveCore Media, and the Community Foundation of Elkhart County, the film tells the fascinating story of Goshen's Cora Dale—an early 20th century composer and pianist whose promising music career, and extraordinary story, was all but erased by the pervasive social stigma of mental illness. The film explores Dale's luminous career and the difficult challenges she faced, and how her her legacy came to raise awareness and serve as a lasting champion for mental wellness.
