Introducing Kim for Kindness
Created by a Year 9 student with a big heart and a bigger mission.
“My name is Ethan, and I started Kim for Kindness to honour my grandma, Kim. As a third-generation Vietnamese Australian, I’ve seen how much she’s gone through — from leaving her home country, to surviving hardship, loneliness, and moments of deep struggle here in Australia.
Her story made me realise how easily people — especially our elders, migrants, and those doing it tough — can feel invisible.
That’s why I’m doing something about it.
Kim for Kindness is a small project with a big purpose:
🍱 Making and handing out meals
💬 Having conversations with people who are often overlooked
🫶 Reminding others they matter
This is for anyone who’s ever felt unseen. You’re not alone. Someone is here. We see you.
🧡 Thank you to my mum for supporting me, and to everyone who helps us cook, donate, and show up.
We’re just getting started. #KimForKindness”
