🕠 5:30 pm (Qld time)
📍 GMC House, 47 Bowen Street, Goondiwindi
Mental health professionals in the Goondiwindi region are warmly invited to attend our next Goondiwindi Mental Health Professionals’ Network (MHPN) meeting.
🗣 Topic: Palliative Care and Mental Health with Dr Greg Parker
Palliative care touches many of the individuals and families we support across the care journey. This session will explore the intersection between palliative care and mental health, including the unique challenges and emotional impacts on individuals and their loved ones. Dr Parker will also speak to supporting grief without pathologising the process, and ways we as clinicians can work collaboratively to provide compassionate, person-centred care.
The presentation will run for approximately 40 minutes, followed by time for discussion and questions.

👥 What is the Mental Health Professionals’ Network (MHPN)?
The MHPN is a national initiative that supports local multidisciplinary networks of mental health practitioners. Our Goondiwindi-based group brings together psychologists, social workers, GPs, occupational therapists, mental health nurses, counsellors, and other allied health professionals to build relationships, improve referral pathways, and share expertise in a supportive and informal setting. Whether you’re new to the region or a long-time local, you’re very welcome to attend.
The Goondiwindi MHPN is co-coordinated by Katherine Johnstone (Rural Sky) and Suzie Collins.
