Program Aide and True North- Goldsboro
***I have opened the True North Class up for Juniors, Start Time is 1:00 pm, pick up time is 2:15 pm. Please bring Health History form and water bottle. Cost 5.00
Program Aide is a leadership award for Cadettes. By earning this award, Girl Scouts grow their leadership skills through training and hands-on experiences by mentoring younger Girl Scouts.
All girls who are currently in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade for the 2025/2026 Girl Scout year are invited to attend the Program Aide Training session. PA training involves learning to work with children and adapting activities for special needs and situations. This can include assisting Girl Scouts with Journey activities, badge activities, or general activities.
You will leave this training with plenty of knowledge, tips, and tricks in your bag to get you started on your journey to completing the PA Award and True North Award.
Additional award requirements: Following this training class for Program Aide, you need to lead at least one activity and one full meeting with younger Girl Scouts within the 2025-2026 Girl Scout Year. They can assist at troop meetings, council events, service unit events, day camps, or overnight camps. The For the True North you will need to complete 2 pages from the workbook. But don't worry, the training teacher will help you connect with leaders and staff members to complete the requirements if you need help.
Bring with you: Health History Form, Water Bottle, snacks for 2 snack breaks.
Cost: $12.00 a person. The cost covers the Program Aide book and training, True North book and training, and help and support for the year to complete the training.
