Freddy Jones Band 2025
Celebrating 30 Years of North Avenue Wake Up Call and 10 Years of Never Change
(Unknown to most, there is no one in the band named Freddy Jones.)
2025 marks a milestone year for the Freddy Jones Band as they celebrate two major anniversaries: the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking album North Avenue Wake Up Call (1995) and the 10th anniversary of Never Change (2015). Both albums were produced by the multi-Grammy-winning Justin Neibank, whose expertise helped shape these iconic records. Reflecting on Never Change, Neibank declared, “Never Change is the best record I’ve worked on in years!”
To honor these milestones, the band is hitting the road for a special anniversary tour, performing fan favorites like “In a Daydream,” “Take the Time,” “Waitress,” and “Hold on to Midnight,” alongside standout tracks from their latest release, 23, including “Mirror Ball” and “Connected.” The tour will also pay tribute to the enduring legacy of “In a Daydream” on its 30th anniversary, a song that has become a hallmark of the band’s sound.

The Freddy Jones Band remains driven by founding member Marty Lloyd, the creative force behind their biggest hit, “In a Daydream.” Marty has shown unwavering dedication to the band and its music, having missed only one show in the 33-year history of the band—a testament to his commitment and passion for performing. Bass guitarist Rich Ross, who played for many years with The Samples and originally met Marty Lloyd in 2001, joined forces with him in 2015. Rich’s extensive experience in management has been invaluable to the band’s growth and continued success.
Now fully independent, the Freddy Jones Band takes pride in their autonomy, navigating their musical journey with full creative freedom. Over the years, they’ve toured with acts such as Big Head Todd & The Monsters, The Wallflowers, Blues Traveler, Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, Sheryl Crow, Sister Hazel, Train, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more.
Currently, the Freddy Jones Band is in the studio, working on new music set for release in early spring 2025.
