On August 27th, we will have Kelly Henriquez & Xane Kimber to present: “A Deep Dive Into Gender & Sexual Diversity for Interpreters​"

In this session, we will take a deeper look into the various identities within the gender and sexuality gradient, as well as briefly introduce different dynamics, structures, and roles within relationships. We will also learn terminology that surrounds those various communities and identities, outlining a descriptivist approach to research in working languages. Special considerations for interpreting for these communities and identities will be examined. We will discuss not only the impact our language (spoken or signed) can have on the individuals we interpret for, but also our interpreting colleagues.​
