Pen Pych Waterfall and Rhondda Tunnel

Hello Marauders!

On the 9th July we are going on a walk around the upper end of the Rhondda Valleys to visit the site of the disused Rhondda Tunnel and to take a look at the Pen Pych waterfalls.

This walk is approximately 6/7 miles long and is a Level 7/8 on our Marauders walk scale. Some of the paths that we'll be taking on are narrow, steep and can be slippery so please wear good footwear. At the top there are some great high-level views of Treherbert and the Rhondda Fawr valley and from here we'll be dropping back down through the remains of the old Blaenrhondda colliery.

No cafe stop en-route today so please bring a snack & drinks along with you.

The walk will start from the Pen-Pych Forest car park. Please get there for 9:20am so we can start promptly at 9:30am
