Journey to Planet Mars at Gloucester Cathedral this October!
We will be holding quiet viewings of Mars: War & Peace on Thursday 17, 24 and 31 October between 10am and 11am for those with sensory needs. During this period we will be turning off the soundtrack to create a calmer atmosphere for our visitors.
Experience the wonders of Planet Mars right here on Earth within the sacred walls of Gloucester Cathedral with Luke Jerram's incredible Mars: War and Peace artwork.
Visitors will have the chance to see Luke Jerram's incredible seven metre sculpture of Mars up close in the Cathedral Nave, in the surroundings of our stunning dramatic space. The artwork features detailed NASA imagery of the Martian surface and is on rotation.
Plan your visit during day-time Cathedral opening hours to explore the installation at your leisure. Entry is by voluntary donation.
A diverse and packed programme of activities accompanies this exhibition, including special evening viewings, yoga and more!
