📷 Exploring Blatchford’s Waterfront: “Recording Maritime Motion”

Every Saturday, 10:00am – 12:00pm, join us for a family-friendly tour at the CAM Green with a guided tour in the galleries (ages 4+) followed by a guided activity on the patio (weather permitting).

📷 Saturday, September 6: “Recording Maritime Motion” – Before photographs were available as reference material, artists looked at ship models to create maritime paintings. Look at the way ship movement was captured by cameras and draw in the gallery. Then, join us outside to make a zoetrope animation strip.

Plus, take part in our ongoing self-guided scavenger hunt, “Tools of the Tide” – use a scavenger hunt as you tour the gallery to learn about the working waterfront. Draw what you think is outside the photo frames to reveal more about Cape Ann’s busy waterfronts.
