Every Saturday, 10:00am – 12:00pm, join us for a family-friendly tour at the CAM Green with a guided tour in the galleries (ages 4+) followed by a guided activity on the patio (weather permitting).
✍️ Saturday, August 16 and Saturday, September 20: “Remarkable Occurrences” – Tour the gallery to explore the world of Ernest Blatchford and learn about the journeys of fishing vessels and their crews as they navigated with logbooks. Sailors often wrote about the weather, ship speed, and any “remarkable occurrences” they saw at sea like whales, other ships, or shooting stars. Then, create your own logbook to mark down any “remarkable occurrence” you had at the Museum today. Take your logbook home or add to a community logbook installation.
Plus, take part in our ongoing self-guided scavenger hunt, “Tools of the Tide” – use a scavenger hunt as you tour the gallery to learn about the working waterfront. Draw what you think is outside the photo frames to reveal more about Cape Ann’s busy waterfronts.
