Aim of the activity.
The aim of the event is for the Cinderford branch of the RBL to promote what is available in the Forest of Dean for serving members of the Armed Forces & their families, veterans in the community as well as their families and the local community.
The main effort is to honour all those who are serving in the Armed Forces, to showcase youth organisations, military charities & also involve the local community to make this activity a celebrated day.
Arrival & departure.
The proposed timings and arrival information for the activity are:
a. 0900hrs 29/06/25 – Organisations who have contacted us to have a stand arrive at the proposed location to set up. Further details will be sent closer to the date of the event.
b. 1000hrs 29/06/2025 – Event participants set up and in position awaiting the opening of the event
c. 1030hrs 29/06/2025 – Gates open to members of the public
Parade.
There will be a parade of the RBL standards, military representatives, youth organisations & re-enactment groups (if available)
a. 1055hrs 29/06/25 – All parade participants to formed up.
b. 1100hrs – A period of silence to remember the fallen and those still serving.
c. 1105hrs – Parade will march around the arena.
d. 1115hrs – Parade participants to be introduced to civil dignitary.
Equipment.
Organisations will be asked to provide their own equipment i.e. gazebos, tables etc. If enough notice is given, the RBL may be able to source items to assist, but this is not a guarantee.
