Are you an artist, maker, or creative based in Glossop or the High Peak? Join this workshop to explore what environmental sustainability can look like in your professional creative practice and local community.
As sustainability becomes increasingly important across the creative sector, from funding and commissioning to materials and storytelling, this session offers practical insight and space for reflection.
The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as creatives with some existing knowledge who want to build confidence and deepen their approach.

Derbyshire Makes
This workshop has been funded as part of Glossop’s Derbyshire Makes programme. Join us on 9th May in Glossop for our main festival day, filled with puppet parades, live music, storytelling, exhibitions, and makers markets. The festival day will be open from 11am-5pm in Glossop's Norfolk Square, Market Hall & Partington Theatre.
About the facilitator
Helen Brook is a sustainability professional (MSc, PIEMA) with over five years’ experience supporting creative businesses and organisations to reduce their environmental impact and strengthen their sustainability storytelling.
Alongside this, Helen works as a creative producer and artist and is programming the Derbyshire Makes 2026 Festival.
