383 Turns 96!

The historic building at 383 S. Hill St., currently home to Hill Street Mall in Globe, AZ, is celebrating 96 years since it was originally opened as a Pay 'N Takit grocery and Gila County Historical Museum in 1930. Over that time, it's also been a Safeway, a dealership for Diggs and Cobre Valley, a Coca-Cola bottling facility, as well as home to the Country Corner with both Johnny and his wife. We have been here since 2006, but this is a first to know when all this history began. At noon, this January 24th, we will be serving cake outside to celebrate with the community and discuss what might ahead as we approach the centennial. Dress warmly and we look forward to being able to celebrate how unique a building built in the outline of Arizona in 1930 truly is, as it would be years before any airline industry even existed.
