Birds and Binocular Adventures (MoCo Reg. 5)

Join us for a fun and educational Birdwatching Field Trip where young nature explorers (Ages 9 and up) will learn how to identify local birds, use observation skills, and discover the beauty of the outdoors.

Learn to spot and identify native birds in their natural habitat
Practice quiet observation, patience, and mindfulness
Discover how birds communicate, migrate, and build nests
Get moving outdoors while building appreciation for nature
Enjoy a shared adventure with fellow homeschool friends!

What to Bring:
Binoculars (if you have them)
Water bottle
Comfortable walking shoes
Notebook or sketch pad (optional)
Curiosity and quiet voices!

Some of the birds we are likely to see and/or hear: robins, cardinals, red-wing blackbird, ring-neck duck, ruby-crowned kinglet, golden-crowned kinglet, eastern bluebird, chipping sparrow, carolina wren, tufted titmouse, carolina chickadee, blue jay, red-bellied woodpecker...

This trip is guided with kid-friendly instruction from Matt. We encourage questions, creativity, and respect for wildlife.
