Fun with Fungi! 🍄 Mushroom Day at Havenwoods

September is National Mushroom Month! 🍄🍄🍄

Join us for a fungi-filled adventure as we learn about the fascinating world of mushrooms. Many activities will be included during this fantastic, fungi event!

We’ll explore the forest in search of fabulous fungi and uncover the hidden wonders of the forest floor. A speaker will provide a short lesson on fungi in Wisconsin.

Mushroom crafts and temporary tattoos for all ages will be available. Join in the fun and maybe even win the Mushroom Costume Contest!

Children’s Story time and mushroom craft

10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Short films screening

11:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m.
Mushroom Cap (hat) craft and Mushroom Costume Contest. Small prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

12:15 p.m.-2 p.m.
Educational presentation on fungi in Wisconsin followed by a hike where attendees are encouraged to photograph any mushrooms found and work together to find different types throughout the forest.
