Barry & John's Dublin Mountain Backyard Ultra

We are delighted to announce that Barry & John's Dublin Mountain Backyard Ultra is now the official Leinster BYU event as part of the All Ireland BYU Championship for 2024.

There will be four qualifying events, one in each province: Leinster, Ulster, Munster and Connacht.

The top 15 runners from each event will be invited to take part in the All Ireland Championship in August 2024.

In addition, there will be 20 runners selected from the At-Large list, the top performances outside the top 15 from all four BYU events.

Note: you must hold an Irish passport or UK passport (Northern Irish) to be crowned Irish Champion. If you don't, you can still compete as an international participant but cannot be crowned Irish Champion.

In the case of the Leinster Championship Barry & John's Dublin Mountain BYU event, the winner will get a Silver Ticket, qualifying for the All Ireland Team for the World Championships in October 2024.

The 2024 Barry & John's Dublin Mountain BYU 4th edition is scheduled to take place Saturday 11th May 2024.

Location: Basecamp Glencullen, Co. Dublin

Time: 12 midday

Course: the course will be the same as 2022 and 2023 however at 9pm, we will revert to an out and back course until 8am the following morning. We will then revert back to the original course and this formation will continue until the event closes. This is a perfect opportunity to accumulate yards and break your personal records!
