What is Junk Journaling?

Junk journaling is a creative, eco-friendly practice that transforms everyday “junk” into beautiful, meaningful journals. Using recycled and repurposed materials—such as old books, vintage papers, tickets, packaging, fabric scraps, and ephemera—participants create layered, textured pages for memory-keeping, storytelling, reflection, or pure artistic expression.

There are no rules and no pressure. Junk journaling is about curiosity, play, sustainability, and personal meaning—not perfection or prior art experience.
