Join the Glen Rock Democratic Committee on Saturday, July 19, for a hands-on volunteer event that makes a real difference. We're partnering with Families for Families to help underprivileged families in Bergen and Passaic Counties move into permanent housing and take the next step toward stability.
This is a low-effort, high-impact way to give back—and show what Democratic values look like in action.
Any Glen Rock resident may participate.
What You Need to Know
Meet-up Location: 250 Braen Ave, Wyckoff, NJ (details will be sent the day before)
Date: Sat, July 19, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (meet at 9, return by 1)
What You’ll Do
Load furniture into a truck at the warehouse. Furniture will include light items (chairs, end tables, desks) to heavy items (couches, beds, tables).
Unload and help arrange the furniture at apartments in Bergen or Passaic County (often Paterson).
What to Wear
Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes – think gym wear or anything suited for lifting and moving.
Bring
Water and a willingness to help. Your car! You'll need to follow the moving truck to the apartment.
