In the comfort of my home kitchen, we will be learning how to bake an artisan sourdough loaf!
Cost of workshop: $65- Please pay at time of registration to secure your spot. I accept Venmo @Kim-Haggerty-9, cash, Square via this link:
https://square.link/u/80J880uj , and Facebook pay. Registration fee is non-refundable. If you are unable to make your class, I may be able to move you to a future class if there are open spots available.
What to expect:
-This is a 2 hour class where we will be learning the basics of sourdough bread making in a hands-on environment. The class is limited to 6 participants and questions are encouraged! We will snack on sourdough bread and coffee will be served.
-You will learn how to feed and maintain a sourdough starter.
-You will follow along with my recipe for a Dutch oven baked sourdough loaf.
-Watch as I demonstrate all the steps of the process: measuring ingredients with a digital scale, stretch and folds, shaping and scoring your dough, and working with a Dutch oven.
-You will also go home with a bread making kit that includes:
a proofing basket and cloth, a jar of sourdough starter with a cloth jar cover, jar spatula, bread lame, dehydrated sourdough starter, printed instructions for maintaining your starter and a printed recipe.
If you are interested in baking your loaf at home after our class, you will need a Dutch oven to bake your loaf in. I recommend an enameled 6 quart cast iron pot with a lid. I also recommend having a digital scale, as we measure everything in grams.
