One-Day Seagrass Footstool Weaving Workshop

Join us at Abbey House for a one-day small group workshop with Felicity Tran, traditional upholsterer and seat weaver. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn a beautiful heritage craft and weave your own footstool with sustainable Seagrass, which you will complete and take home at the end of the day.

During the workshop, you’ll weave a stunning ‘Herringbone style’ pattern using sustainable seagrass cord on a local artisan made beech wood frame. Felicity’s teaching style is engaging, friendly, and informal, with a focus on productivity and enjoyment. You’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in this mindful craft while connecting with fellow attendees in the spectacular setting of Abbey House.

By the end of the day, you’ll feel a great sense of achievement, having created a professional-quality piece of furniture to take home and treasure forever.
