About the event

BLAKE ~ Dark Satanic Mills Revisited ~ Protest Through the Arts
Two inspiring and thought provoking music and poetry events celebrating the vision of William Blake.

🌻Saturday 9th August🌻

Each year, we call on Blake, our great avatar. Our elder still oversees the plight of the children of Albion. He knows that our trials are no different now than when he lived, struggled, and raged against the tide of the Industrial Age. He knows, as we know, that things have come to a head. He knows, as we know, that this is the time to voice all aspects of the revolution. There is no time left to permit the wanton destruction of Gaia in all her dimensions. William Blake is everywhere.

An evening of sublime music and poetry

Performers include

🌟 Martin Faulkner 🌟 Sue Allport 🌟 Leila Mae 🌟

🌟 Lucyna Rossa 🌟 Brakeman 🌟 Lemniscate∞ 🌟

🌟 Gareth Somers 🌟Ezra Vdread 🌟 + Guests!!! 🌟

🌳Sunday 10th August🌳

On Sunday afternoon, 10th, at Beckets Inn (2–4pm), enjoy the intimacy of an all-acoustic gathering, celebrating Blake’s words and music in a welcoming setting.

(You might like to see the separate FB ad on the Glastonbury William Blake Festival FB page and on Glastonbury Inner Light FB page—or just turn up!)

Bring Blake’s words or your own Blake-inspired poems and songs to a joyous gathering to imbue our lives and our town with the vibration of BLAKE!

Don’t be shy!
Come and read with us - or just sit and listen.
Instruments and singing voices are encouraged too.
Bring your favourite Blake poem/s or browse through the poetry books we’ll have there. 🐅 🕊️ 🐑

If the weather is chilly or rainy, we’ll be indoors in the main bar, which has been specially reserved. Otherwise, we’ll be gathering in the magical garden at the back of The Beckets. 🌻

Each event has its own special atmosphere—we’d love to see you at one, or even both!

Please share this with your friends, bring your poetry book or instrument, and join us as we gather in powerful tribute to William Blake—raising our voices together in creativity and community, united in our intention to cherish and protect this sacred Earth.

Whether you’re a devoted Blakean or simply curious about William Blake’s world, everyone is warmly welcome!
