Follow in the footsteps of Exmoor writer and artist Hope Bourne on a guided walk around Withypool, taking in some of Hope’s favourite views whilst learning more about her remarkable life on Exmoor.
The walk will be led by Lisa Eden, an Exmoor Society Trustee who oversees the Hope L. Bourne Collection. As you journey around Withypool, Lisa will share some fascinating stories about Hope.
What to know:
This is a moderate 3 mile walk with some rough parts underfoot, and will be steep in places but without stiles.
Dogs are welcome on leads.
Refreshments are available in Withypool tea rooms or the Royal Oak pub.
An email confirming a location meet up point will be sent close to the date of the walk.
Booking required, £6.50 per person.
Hope Bourne (1918–2010) was a writer and artist who spent almost sixty years recording the landscape, wildlife, history and changing rural traditions of Exmoor.
