LUSSA ☀️
Inspired by the Latin word for “light”, Lussa is an upcoming trad band known for their fresh, spirited arrangements of both original and traditional tunes. Emerging from the vibrant traditional music scene in Glasgow, Lussa features fiddlers Naomi Priestnall and Elisabet McConnell, pianist Bailey McCoo, and multi-instrumentalist Eneko Lane.
Following their standout debut on the Danny Kyle Open Stage at Celtic Connections 2024, Lussa returned in 2025 as finalists in the prestigious Hands Up for Trad: Battle of the Folk Bands competition.
After a hugely successful first year, Lussa released their debut single “Lussa Reels” in 2025.
RACHEL & RAE 🌊
Rachel is a fiddle player from the Isle of Skye. She is about to start her fourth year at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. Her fiddle playing is rooted in the Gaelic traditions of the west coast of Scotland along with influences from Cape Breton fiddle tradition.
Rae MacIver is a Glasgow-based pianist who blends her Gaelic roots with a contemporary style to create a distinct, fresh sound.
Rachel and Rae will be joined by Owen Stark from Auchtermuchty on the drum kit.
