Why Play?
SAFE (Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund) is a Kansas City nonprofit that provides immediate and ongoing support to the families of first responders who lose their lives in the line of duty. Within the first 48 hours of tragedy, SAFE delivers a $40,000 check to the surviving spouse and family. Beyond that, they continue to step in with additional assistance as needed, ensuring no family is left to navigate such a devastating loss alone.
In just the last 6 months, Kansas City has lost three heroes:

💙 Elijah Ming, Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office Deputy – EOW 7/26/25
💙 Hunter Simoncic, Kansas City Kansas Police Department - EOW 8/26/25
This tournament honors their memory while making sure SAFE can be ready for the next family in need — because heartbreakingly, it’s not a matter of if, but when.
