Tucked away in a little rustic cabin (with modern amenities) in the heart of Cedars of Lebanon State Park, the Crooked Crossroads Society beckons you into the wild, woven world of Primitive Witchery, taught by Stephanie Reed, the Primitive Witch herself.
During this five-hour workshop, you’ll sink your hands into six unique, hands-on classes/activities, each a thread in the tapestry of Appalachian folk magic.

🧹 Bristle & Charm: Crafting Hearth Brooms — Take a humble hand broom and breathe magic into its bristles.
🍃 Wander & Seek: Forager’s Bingo Ramble— Step into the wild with a bingo card as your map, roaming the land to uncover nature’s hidden gifts, learning to ID the local flora (and how to work with them).
🥃 Root & Remedy: Appalachian Healing Ways — As winter looms, we’ll dig into the bone-deep wisdom of Appalachian cures, crafting elderberry syrup, respiratory treatments, tisanes, and other concoctions. The best part—you get to take home your creations.
🧿 Spell & Shield: Hexes and Wards Woven — Under the hollow’s watchful eye, we’ll unravel the art of an Appalachian curse, its sting as old as grudges carved in stone. You’ll also learn how to protect your home from haints and those who wish to harm you.

🥘Hearth & Tale: Feasting on Folklore — Gather ‘round for a lunch of Appalachian staples, hearty and true. As we eat, Stephanie will spin the tale of this dish’s roots, a story older than the hills we stand on.
🫖 Tea & Tales: Omens and Kin — As the day settles, we’ll sip teas hand-blended teas and savor homemade dessert, the air thick with sweetness and secrets. Stephanie will share Appalachian omens—signs in the sky and whispers in the leaves.
