رحلة “معايشة وتعلُّم” في سانت كاترين

خمسة أعوام من القصص، التأمل، المشي وسط الجبال، والتعلُّم من أهل كاترين وثقافتهم. تجربة للتواصل الحقيقي مع نفسك، ومع الآخرين، ومع الطبيعة الحاضرة بقوة.

في سانت كاترين، حيث يجتمع جمال الطبيعة وجلالها، وحيث تلتقي الجبال بالسماء، تبدأ رحلة تعلُّم مختلفة.

إيه هو برنامج “معايشة وتعلُّم فى سانت كاترين”؟

معايشة وتعلُّم تجربة حية بنعيش فيها وسط الطبيعة، مع أهل المكان بنتعلم منهم، ومن بعضنا البعض، ومن نفسنا

بنتعرف على قبيلة الجبالية فى سانت كاترين وعلاقتهم بالجبال والسما والزرع، ونعرف تاريخهم وعلاقتهم بالدير، ونتعلم عن ثقافتهم اللى نتجت من احتكاكهم بالطبيعة وظهرت فى عاداتهم وفنونهم وتراثهم.

هنكون فى قلب الطبيعة المميزة لكاترين فى وسط الجبال تحت سماء شديدة الصفاء، هنتعلم عن النجوم والملاحة، وجبال كاترين ونباتاتها وتنوعها البيئى.

البرنامج موجَّه للفئات التالية:
✅ الناشئين من 10 إلى 18 سنة
✅ الكبار فوق 18 سنة


أنشطة الرحلة:
✨ معايشة حقيقية مع أهل كاترين والتعرف على تاريخ قبيلة الجبالية والتعلُّم من ثقافتهم وعاداتهم
✨ مشي جبلي (هايكنج) وسط الوديان العالية
✨ صعود قمة جبل عباس
✨ زيارة شجر التوت والتين البرى فى موسمه
✨ مراقبة النجوم والتعرّف على أسرار السماء في أمسية فلكية
✨ زيارة دير سانت كاترين ومتحفه العريق
✨ زيارة مشغل الفنون اليدوية
✨ المشاركة فى إعداد الطعام السيناوى
✨ ورشة فنية باستخدام الطين ومواد من الطبيعة
✨ التعلم عن القلب والتنفس وتأثير البيئة الجبلية والمشى عليهما
✨ تعلم مبادىء الملاحة ومهارات البقاء
✨ لحظات صمت وتأمل… ولحظات مشاركة واكتشاف
✨ حلقات نقاش مفتوحة عن الحياة، التعلُّم، والاختيارات


مسار الرحلة الزمنى:
٢٢ يوليو التجمع للتحرك ١١:٠٠ مساء
٢٣ يوليو - اليوم الأول: الوصول ٧ صباحا لكاترين، قضاء اليوم بزيارات المدينة والمبيت فى فندق سانت كاترين
٢٤ يوليو - اليوم الثاني: التحرك إلى الوديان العالية والمبيت بإحدى حدائقها
٢٥ يوليو ـ اليوم الثالث: صعود قمة جبل عباس لمشاهدة الغروب ثم العودة لمكان المبيت
٢٦ يوليو ـ قضاء النهار فى الوديان العالية ثم التحرك من سانت كاترين للعودة والوصول إلى القاهرة ١:٠٠ فجر اليوم التالى

مهم جدا تعرفوا:
- الرحلة للاستمتاع والتعلم من الطبيعة والحياة البرية
- هنكون بعيد عن الكهربا وتغطية المحمول معظم الوقت
- الرحلة فيها مجهود بدنى .. مستوى متوسط (مش بسيط ولكنه غير شاق)
- سانت كاترين محمية طبيعية فلازم منتعرضش لأي من النباتات والحيوانات وحتى الأحجار ومنسبش أي مخلفات ورانا

عن الميسرين:

رضوى عادل شديد.. حاصلة علي ماجستير العلوم. من مؤسسى مبادرة هيباتيا للتعليم، قدمت العديد من الورش والمعسكرات التعليمية للكبار والأطفال. تدرس حاليا ماجستير العلاج بالفن وتقدم ورش وبرامج للعلاج بالفن. مهتمة بدمج المعارف العلمية والإنسانية والفنية في تصميم البرامج التعليمية.

د. هويدا عبدالعليم فودة .. مدرس العلاج الطبيعي، تهتم فى أبحاثها بالعلاجات التقليدية وأثرها على أعضاء الجسم المختلفة. كما أنها من مؤسسي مبادرة المشاركة المعرفية وهى مبادرة معنية بالبحث عن أصحاب المعارف الأصلية والتعايش معهم والتعلم منهم وكان أحد مخرجات تعايشهم مع قبائل جنوب البحر الأحمر كتاب "ناس الجنوب"

فريدة أحمد الحصي.. ماجستير في عمارة ما بعد الحداثة. مدرس مساعد سابق بكلية الفنون التطبيقية جامعة دمياط.. من خريجي مدرسة نماء للتنمية المستدامة. عضو عامل سابق بنقابة مصممي الفنون التطبيقية.

Five years hiking through the mountains, and learning from the people of St. Catherine and their culture. An experience of true connection—with yourself, with others, and with the powerful presence of nature.

In Saint Catherine, where the beauty and majesty of nature come together, where the mountains meet the sky, a unique learning journey begins.

What is the living and learning "Moaysha w Taalom" Program?

It is an immersive experience where we live amid nature, learning from the local people, from each other, and from ourselves.

We will get to know the Jebaleya tribe in Saint Catherine—their relationship with the mountains, the sky, and the plants. We’ll learn about their history and their ties to the monastery, and discover how their culture emerged from their close interaction with nature, reflected in their customs, arts, and heritage.

We’ll be in the heart of Saint Catherine’s unique landscape, surrounded by mountains beneath a crystal-clear sky, learning about the stars and navigation, as well as the diverse mountains and plants of Catherine and their rich biodiversity.

The Program is designed for:
✅ Young people aged 10–18 years
✅ Adults above 18 years

Trip Activities:
✨ Genuine immersion with the people of Catherine, learning about the history of the Jebaleya tribe and their culture and traditions
✨ Mountain hiking through high valleys
✨ Hiking Mount Abbas summit
✨ Visiting wild mulberry and fig trees in their season
✨ Stargazing and learning about the constellations from a professional astronomer
✨ Visiting Saint Catherine’s Monastery and its ancient museum
✨ Visiting the local handicrafts workshop
✨ Participating in preparing traditional Sinai food
✨ An art workshop using clay and natural materials
✨ Learning about the heart, breathing, and how the mountainous environment and hiking affect them
✨ Learning navigation principles and survival skills
✨ Moments of silence and reflection… and moments of sharing and discovery
✨ Open discussion circles and reflections

Trip Schedule:
22 July – Gathering to depart at 11:00 PM

23 July (Day One): Arrival in Catherine at 7:00 AM, spending the day exploring the town, overnight stay at Saint Catherine Hotel

24 July (Day Two): Heading to the high valleys, overnight camping in one of the valley gardens

25 July (Day Three): Hiking Mount Abbas summit to watch the sunset, then returning to the campsite

26 July: Spending the day in the high valleys, departing from Saint Catherine in the evening, arriving back in Cairo at 1:00 AM the following day

Important Information:
This trip is for enjoying and learning from nature and wildlife.

We will be away from electricity and mobile network coverage for most of the time.

The trip requires a moderate level of physical activity (not light, but not strenuous).

Saint Catherine is a protected natural reserve; therefore, we must not harm any plants, animals, or even stones, and we must leave no waste behind.

About the Facilitators:

Radwa Adel Shdeed: M.Sc. (AUC), Co-founder of Hypatia for Education Initiative. She has delivered numerous workshops and educational camps for adults and children. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art Therapy and conducts workshops and programs in the field. She’s passionate about integrating scientific, humanistic, and artistic knowledge into educational program design.

Dr. Howaida Abdelalim Fouda – Lecturer of Physical Therapy. Her research focuses on traditional therapies and their effects on various body systems. She is also a co-founder of the Knowledge Sharing Initiative, dedicated to finding bearers of indigenous knowledge, living with them, and learning from them. One of the outcomes of their immersion with tribes in the southern Red Sea was the book “People of the South - Nas Al-Janoub”

Farida Ahmed El-Hosary – Holds a Master’s degree in Postmodern Architecture. Former Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Damietta University. Graduate of the Nama School for Sustainable Development. Former active member of the Applied Arts Designers Syndicate.
