Gisborne Neighbourhood Support
Helping each other, keeping our community strong to create safe, resilient and connected communities
📅 NEIGHBOURHOOD SUPPORT MEETING –
THURSDAY 31 JULY 2025
6PM AT TAIRĀWHITI EMERGENCY COORDINATION CENTRE
Imagine living in a street where people look out for each other, share local updates, and are ready for anything — from crime prevention to connection at community and street level and emergencies. That’s what Gisborne Neighbourhood Support is all about.
We’re forming a citywide Neighbourhood Support group for Gisborne to support and strengthen our existing street-level Neighbourhood Support networks, helping us stay safer, more connected, and better prepared as a community — and we’re inviting all existing street groups, residents, and community champions to be part of it.
👮♂️ Supported by NZ Police, Tairāwhiti Civil Defence Emergency Management, and other trusted community partners — many of whom will be at the meeting to kōrero, connect, and share how we can work together.
📣 Join us for our next meeting:
🕕 Thursday 31 July, 6pm
📍 Tairāwhiti Emergency Coordination Centre – 15 Potae Avenue
Come see your community Civil Defence Emergency Centre and meet your neighbours, hear from local agencies, and help shape a stronger, more coordinated Neighbourhood Support network for Gisborne.
👉 Free to join. Flexible involvement. Real community impact.
