5th Annual Junior High Passing Tournament
Event Details
Liberty High School is hosting a 7-on-7 passing tournament on July 26, 2025, for junior high football teams across Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. The tournament begins at 1:00 PM with gates opening at 12:00 PM.
Spectator admission is $5 per person, with concessions available.
Team Requirements
Teams may register up to 10 players (excluding centers - bring up to 3 centers separately). Schools can register multiple teams if they have sufficient players. Each participant receives a tournament t-shirt. Players must bring helmets with mouthpieces and two different colored (or reversible) shirts/jerseys.
Tournament Format
The round-robin tournament will feature at least 15 teams, with the number of games determined by final registration. Four simultaneous games will run on two turf fields and two grass practice fields, with teams rotating equally between surfaces. Games are played from the 40-yard line in, allowing coaches on the field for instruction. A play clock ensures consistent pacing.
Game Day Rules
A mandatory coaches and officials meeting occurs at 12:30 PM to review rules and sportsmanship expectations. Teams field 7 offensive players including centers, with all formations and motions required to be legal. Defensive formations with 2 safeties and 4 linebackers require one linebacker to take a knee each play.
