Richards’s talk using Zoom – Wildlife and Birds of Poland, is hosted by the RSPB Medway Local Group and shared with the RSPB Maidstone Local Group and Faversham NATS, will take place on Tuesday 4 November : -
7.15 pm: Meeting live – you can join the meeting, followed by Introduction and Group notices.
7.30 pm: The talk begins.
The talk is split into two parts of 30 minutes, allowing a 10-minute break at approx. 8.00 pm.
There is normally an opportunity at the end of the talk to ask the speaker questions.
There will be a charge of £3 per person for each talk.
Join Richard on a virtual tour of Poland’s most well-known wildlife locations. This talk will firstly illustrate the breath taking world-famous Biebrza National Park Marshes – home to Terns dancing over the wetlands and waders galore, including the bizarre Great Snipe and multi-coloured Ruffs. The fields and meadows here are also home to iconic species such as Corncrakes and Cranes. Richard will then show us the atmospheric primeval forests of Bialoweiza, where most of the European woodpeckers can be found, alongside Nutcrakers, Pygmy Owl and the star of the show – European Bison.
