- [Miss Genevieve | 2025-12-09 14:47:29] We’ve been to countless tattoo conventions and exhibitions this year, always wishing for something a little closer to home—and then, almost as if conjured out of thin air, we stumbled upon the HMP Gloucester Prison Tattoo Event for the Twice The Magic Tattoo Expo.

 We only discovered it on Saturday (and truly wish we’d known sooner, because we absolutely would’ve come for both days), but we made it there on Sunday and had an incredible experience.

Walking through the old prison gates felt like stepping into a story—echoes of history in every corridor, cells transformed into booths of buzzing creativity, and that brilliant murder-mystery twist woven throughout the venue. 

Clues tucked into corners, cryptic hints on the walls… it added such a fun layer of intrigue to the day, almost like we were part of a case while browsing incredible artwork and meeting amazing artists.

Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and they absolutely adored seeing our little daughter—she’s becoming quite the convention regular and is definitely growing up surrounded by tattoos and art. 

We even left with a couple of spontaneous new pieces, which somehow felt even cooler in such a unique, atmospheric setting.

Overall, it was such a refreshing and imaginative take on a tattoo expo.

 We’re already looking forward to more events like this, and hopefully even more interactive surprises hidden among the cells (or wherever the next location is), next time. 

Highly recommended for anyone who loves tattoos, history, or just a good mystery.
